Event

From Arknights Terra Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

In Arknights, events, officially known as limited-time events, act as content releases that further expands Arknights' gameplay and/or setting by introducing new content from operations to Operators, enemies, and coverage of subjects that are not elaborated in the Main Theme (although not always). Events also act as temporary instances where players can claim various rewards through gameplay progressions.

Overview[edit]

Major[edit]

Major events feature their own operations and stories/interludes, and are distinct in that they tend to feature much more robust event stores, and introduce new "tilesets" with some exceptions (notably Operation Originium Dust and A Walk in the Dust which reuses an identical tileset) as well as new enemies and mechanics. The stories/interludes of major events are always unlocked in sequence, and is tied to the operations themselves; the major event's plot are usually contained within the main operations, though some are also included in the extra operations.

All major events will receive a rerun (known in the CN server as retrospection) at a later date following the event's release.

As of A Walk in the Dust, major events are grouped into two categories and their operations become available to play permanently after release, with some restrictions (see Event operations § Major).

Minor[edit]

  • Story Collections
  • Login events: These events can be run during or separate from any other event, as they are "non-intrusive." The systems of login events differ from one another, but they are usually defined by giving out rewards for logging in several days in a row, or add temporary additional rewards to daily and weekly missions. The rewards for these events are typically simple materials and an outfit.

Celebration[edit]

There are two different Celebration events.

  1. In CN, first Celebration events are released in November 1 to commemorate half-year anniversaries; in Global, they are released about 3 months after the year's Carnival event and before the year's Festival event, and labeled Thank-You Celebration.
  2. In CN, second Celebration events are released in May 1 to commemorate yearly anniversaries. In Global, they are released about 3 months after the current year's Festival event and before the next year's Carnival event, and labeled Arknights Celebration from Absolved Will Be the Seekers; prior to this, second Celebration events are variably labeled Gift of the Deep Ones (Under Tides and Stultifera Navis) and One Giant Leap (Lone Trail).
    • Up to Absolved Will Be the Seekers, the Global server releases Arknights Celebration events in late October or early November. Starting from The Masses' Travels, they are released around October 14.

Festival[edit]

In CN, Spring Festival or simply Festival events are released in late January or early February to commemorate the Chinese New Year; in Global, they are released to commemorate half-year anniversaries.

Carnival[edit]

In CN, Summer Carnival or simply Carnival events are released around August 1 to commemorate the peak of the year's summer holidays; in Global, they are released to commemorate yearly anniversaries around the Global server's release date of January 16.

Trivia[edit]

Notice

The following content may be out of date, subjective, or incomplete.
Please consider contributing to help maintain accurate and up to date information on the wiki.

  • Due to being 8-9 months behind the CN server at launch and 5-6 months behind at present, the Global server of Arknights released events—those featuring limited headhunting banners in particular—outside their supposed theme by necessity.
    • Since the 1st Anniversary Celebration, Global's content release pacing allows CN's Summer Carnival and Spring Festival events to be released as Global's yearly and half-year anniversaries, respectively, and CN's anniversary events to be released between them.
    • Before the scheduling were made more consistent since 2025:
      • Global reschedules the release of at least one event preceding Carnival events from Dossoles Holiday into February or March, possibly to give enough time for the Carnival event to be released as Global's yearly anniversary event.
      • The second Celebration and Carnival events have a gap of 2.5 months while Carnival and first Celebration events have a gap of 3.5 months, unlike CN where events featuring limited banners are consistently 3 months apart.
  • It is worth noting that event operations are typically designed to the advantage of the Operators introduced by the headhunting banner that runs concurrently with the event. For example, Passenger's ability to chain arts damage to close-by targets would be advantageous against A Walk in the Dust's various drone summoners, as would Heavyrain's ability to heal and provide Camouflage.
