Main moved on by 27 commits since this branch forked, including three schema steps of its own (budget folders, placement, nested bills). Resolutions worth knowing: - The anchored-model migration becomes 10 -> 11; main's 7 -> 10 run first. - Main's nextUnconfirmedOccurrenceOnOrAfter walked the calendar grid for every cost, which would have shown the slot-model "next due" for an anchored bill in the budget tree. Both walks are now generators and the lookup dispatches on anchoring, like occurrencesOf. - A folder's "Bills due" summed only occurrences, and an anchored bill's charges are never occurrences, so a charged phone plan read as 0 due. budgetTree now adds an anchored bill's charges in the month. - Main's RecurringSection (with RecurringSplitEditor) supersedes this branch's split editor; the anchoring rules are ported onto it: start-date validation via startDateNeedsDay, month precision hidden for lastCharge, the anchoring control locked once a cost has charges. - PurchaseDialog keeps main's placement control. The "Recurring cost" select replaces main's "Unlink from bill" checkbox, since "None" does the same. A bill created from the dialog nests under its post like one from Settings. - Dropped main's "bounded projection ignores invalid confirmations" test: it exercised slot confirmations on a lastCharge cost, which no longer exist. Budget 2.0
A personal budgeting PWA. Envelope-style monthly budgets with rollover, split purchases, finance plans, multi-currency, and JSON/ODS export. All data lives in your browser — there is no server and no account.

Self-hosting with Docker
Gitea Actions builds the image on pull requests and publishes it to the Gitea
container registry after the checks pass on main and v* tags. Published
images are available as gitea.lucaswinther.info/lucasw89/budget2.0:latest,
:main, :sha-<commit>, and :<version> for version tags.
Add a repository Actions secret named REGISTRY_TOKEN containing a personal
access token with package write permission. The token must belong to the user
who pushes the commit or tag, since the workflow logs in as the triggering
actor. The Gitea runner must have access to a Docker daemon.
docker pull gitea.lucaswinther.info/lucasw89/budget2.0:latest
docker run --rm -p 3000:3000 gitea.lucaswinther.info/lucasw89/budget2.0:latest
For a private package, run docker login gitea.lucaswinther.info first with a
Gitea account or token that has package read permission.
To build locally instead:
docker build --build-arg BUILD_VERSION="$(git rev-parse HEAD)" --build-arg BUILD_REPOSITORY=https://gitea.lucaswinther.info/lucasw89/budget2.0 -t budget2 .
docker run --rm -p 3000:3000 budget2
To serve from a subpath, build and run with BUN_PUBLIC_BASE_PATH:
docker build -t budget2 --build-arg BUN_PUBLIC_BASE_PATH=/budget/ --build-arg BUILD_VERSION="$(git rev-parse HEAD)" --build-arg BUILD_REPOSITORY=https://gitea.lucaswinther.info/lucasw89/budget2.0 .
docker run --rm -p 3000:3000 -e BUN_PUBLIC_BASE_PATH=/budget/ budget2

Your data
Everything is stored in this browser's IndexedDB. Export regularly from Settings → Your data: the JSON export is both your backup and how you move your budget to another device.
Use the header's Undo and Redo controls to reverse saved edits in the current session. Ctrl/Cmd+Z undoes; Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Z or Ctrl/Cmd+Y redoes. While typing in a field, those shortcuts use the browser's text undo. History holds up to 50 edits and disappears when the page reloads.
Both destructive actions there — Import, and "Reset everything" — download a backup of your current data before replacing it, and abort if that download fails. Reset puts the app back to a brand-new install: the three starter posts, the DKK/USD/EUR currency table, this month at zero income, no purchases. Import and reset clear session undo history after they succeed.
Known limitations
- Data is per-browser. There is no account and no sync. If you clear this browser's site data, or move to a different browser or device, your budget is gone unless you exported it first. The JSON export is not just a nice-to-have backup — it is the only way to move a budget between devices.
- Installing and offline use are unverified. The manifest ships the SVG plus 192×192 and 512×512 PNG icons, and the service worker demonstrably installs, activates and precaches every asset — but nobody has yet confirmed that Chrome offers its "Install app" prompt, or loaded the app with the network actually cut. It works as a regular tab regardless.
