+**Context:** the Knowledgenet proposal (`lucasw89/knowledgenet`, `docs/PROPOSAL.md`) covers this
+project's goals — search, web UI, MCP access, multiple collections and multi-user permissions — and
+explicitly supersedes its direction: direct Xapian instead of Recoll, no Recoll/Python/FastAPI stack,
